This is an update to an earlier review I did on Google Cash Detective.
A few days ago I wrote a case study on using Google Cash Detective to find profitable keywords and ads to promote Clickbank products. Today I am going to show you a cool trick using GCD to uncover profitable CPA offers.
Finding that holy grail of the right CPA offer, the right ad and the right keywords is perhaps the most difficult art form to master.
Often times it’s a case of churning through hours of time, and worst of all money, to find anything that looks remotely workable.
With a little creative thinking and some GCD magic, we can now overcome a lot of these problems.
THE TRICK
The trick I came up with was using the CPA networks tracking URL and running the wildcard feature on GCD. By doing this, I could discover all of the CPA direct links in the GCD database. Check this out.
In this example I use the hydra tracking URL.
As you can see it has shown me 1893 number of URL’s. Now check out some of the profitable keyword ad offer combination’s I found. This is just a tiny sample. 
For each of the following examples, look out for the high search volume and the length of how long the ad has been running. Obviously, the higher the volume, the more conversions you can make. The longer the ad has been running, the more likely it is profitable.
THE EXAMPLES
A free lip balm sample.
Another affiliate doing well with free lip balm samples, but via more general sample keywords.
A Government auction offer.
A home flipping offer.
A pregnancy test offer.
A free movie tickets zip offer.
A colon cleanse offer with clever lateral keywords.
Now it’s important to remember there are 25+ CPA networks you can use this tactic on, all with loads of new offers coming out every day. The GCD system crawls millions of keywords every day to serve up fresh data, so there is new opportunity appearing on the radar daily.
APPLYING THE TRICK
Here’s a strategy you could use. Find the offers, keywords and ad text using GCD that are currently working for someone. Then simply hunt around the different networks to find similar offers that you can direct link to.
This way you don’t even need to compete against the person you found using GCD. Just use all their data, and promote a similar offer on another network.
Many times the same offer is on multiple networks, so just use a different network with a different URL and you won’t have issues with the double serving problems you often encounter on Google.
If you’ve got a good relationship with your affiliate manager, you could hit them up for a different URL to use for the offer as well.
I reckon the savvy CPA marketer should be in here most days using this data to build their business. I’ve personally got a virtual assistant in GCD so far for about 20 hours this week extracting this intelligence for me. I recommend you do something similar.

It’s seems like just a relatively small number of people could dominate all of PPC advertising using a combination of GCD and SpeedPPC.
Even if you have these tools you will still be competing with thousands of others who also have these tools and possibly more.
Is PPC dead for the rest who can’t afford to purchase GCD

WOW, I just finished reading the comments on the March 10th post!
I’m an AC’er and frustrated turtle too. Was glad to hear there are others in my boat, but wish we were ALL doing better at it.
Now there IS an AC Forum, of course, but DON’T be negative there! Oh no, they won’t stand for any dissing.
I will try to join Justin and gang plus look around AC forum more.
Due to things I read on this blog (thanks, JAY-I also LOVE SpeedPPC), I reviewed the Adwords Webmaster Guidelines. It seems to me that MOST of the AC methods for cranking are not allowed. I’m confused about the ethics and framing and direct linking.
Quoted from Adwords/Google Webmaster Guidelines: they “don’t allow the following:
Redirect URLs: Ads that contain URLs that automatically redirect to the parent company.
Bridge Pages: Ads for web pages that act as an intermediary, whose sole purpose is to link or redirect traffic to the parent company.
Framing: Ads for web pages that replicate the look and feel of a parent site. Your site should not mirror (be similar or nearly identical in appearance to) your parent company’s or any other advertiser’s site.
”
To be frank, I’m still trying to find converting keywords, and not sure I’m doing tracking right. Seems Emmanual really skimmed thru it, so need to review the right videos…
Like many other turtle commenters, my spend is huge and my profits dismal. Is 1-2% conversion per click a golden nugget? Maybe I did find a few – that’s NOT profitable in my book. I emailed this question in for a webinar and it was ignored. I don’t think it would be welcomed in the AC forum, so will check back HERE hoping to see your opinions.

I got Google Cash Detective because I trust Jay Stockwell and SPeed PPC.
I do have lots of ideas to make SPeed PPC better… For example..
For MSN why have both XLS and CSV when only one works.
Why not have a default directory for the files AND have the KWD and AD files be named with the campaign name appended with _kwd or _ads..
On Yahoo.. Do the same… Only the correct EXCEL format. Don’t have XLS and CSV…
I can not get MSN to properly work because the dynamic {keyword} or whatever, does not work with SPeed PPC. The workaround is to go into the ads within MSN and do it yourself.
Seems like an easy fix and not sure why this does not work…
In the end Speed PPC is EXCEPTIONAL. There is NO WAY ON EARTH that I could create 895 separate ad groups with ONE KEYWORD sand the ability to dynamically give the keywords, expansion and final’s into my page!
UNBELIEVABLE..
Would be nice to have Cloaking added to the tracking ID’s.. Make work with Stats Junky or Make SPeed PPC do what Stats Junky does…
On the tabs of Speed PPC… Put them on the top… Would be so much easier to see.. Also have the names “grabbable”
Stats Junky still needs LOTS of help.. The concept is EXCEPTIONAL but in my view we are doing BETA testing on the program..

I am seriously conidering this but I like many other AC Members have ended up being very dissappointed with what what delivered. I am a modestly experienced markter and always willing to learn more but will (at least it looks like it now) be one of many who will be seeking a refund.
One good thing to come out of THAT progrm was SpeedPPC – marvelous software and great training support too – I’m very happy with that.
Since then I have been incredibly lucky in finding a cheap coaching program absolutely loaded with useful tools and fantastic support (from a personal coach) and a very active helpful community as well, it is simply a ***** (Sorry…. no link building activities are allowed here – JAY)
I’ll give Jay’s recommendation serious consideration.

I am thinking hard about this program. I really like SpeedPPc although I wish it would just format the keywords and ads to work with MSN desktop as far as copy and paste. But that is another story. The thing I really want to know is the bottom line. How long till most will recoup the cost of the software?

Henry: There is a MSN desktop fix that will be available shortly. As for how long it will take to recoup the cost of the software, well that’s a tough question because people’s skill levels are very different.
For me, my time is my most valuable asset. I would consider it to be worth at least $200 an hour. So if it saves me 10 hours work, then its covered.
You could also look at how much in offer testing it will save you. If it saves you spending $50 on 20 offers over a year, its covered it’s cost.
The most positive is that if it reveals 1 offer that makes you just $5.50 a day for a year, then it has covered its cost.
If you want to take it one step further in the positive direction think about this.
If you don’t get it and you miss out on 1 offer that makes you $500 a day for a year (many offers do make this and more) then it has actually cost you $182,500 to NOT get GCD.

Hey Jay and anyone else reading.
I just received my first check from a affiliate network. It is for $340! It is real. That is abotu 3/4 of what I have coming from that network. Guys, just stick in there. I am below a turtle, I am a snail. Clicking along with a puzzeled look on my face as I learn.
I have has a little success. On one campaign I grossed $225 – a whole lot of email submits. The cost of advertizing was $430. Now you may be wondering why I think that is good. It is because of all of the experimentation that I did along the way. This was one of the first offers I chose to promote then I tried one thing after another to see what worked. I took it onto google, then yahoo then MSN. It all came down to a few keywords that actually worked, the others brought traffic and no conversions. SPEED PPC ALLOWED ME TO DO IT faster. Then I realized that I had to turn off the losers. Boom – a big spike in ROI. Found out about shifting bids, another spike. As I went to use speed ppc, I could use geotargeting, misspellings, etc and just crank them out in a few minutes! If you don’t have Speed PPC you need it in your toolbox. it is GOLD

I am new at Internet Marketing and joined the Arbitrage Conspiracy team to learn what I could.
