New SpeedPPC Office

The last few days have been hectic!

We’ve been moving offices and it has had all the normal drama that comes with such an exercise. Like yesterday I sat around all day waiting for the power company to turn up to flick a switch. They told me to get there at 8am and it didn’t get turned on until 3.30 in the afternoon.

I must admit, I didn’t care that much as I knew it would all be worth it. Here’s why:

Check out the Google Earth shot of our building in Burleigh Heads (Australia). Yep…. right on the beach. :)

Burleigh Heads

This is as you walk into the main office area.

Foyer

This is looking back on the admin area and into the open plan office area. That’s my son eating rice crackers.

Hallway

Check out the view from my office window! Now you can see why I didn’t care. :)

Window View

This is looking up the point from that beach you saw out my window.

Beachview

Here’s the view up the coast from on top of that grassy hill in the photo above.

Point View

Pretty nice huh.

I live about 5 minutes stroll from here, so my wife walks down here each day at lunch time so I can mess around with my son on the beach.

If I look out the window and I see the swell starting to wall up, I can grab my surfboard and I’m in the water within a few minutes.

When I want to get creative, I can work outside on one of the beach picnic tables and still connect to my office wifi. Yes… the beach is so close I can still get my office WiFi on the sand.

We’re really blessed to be able to work in this part of the world, particularly in office space like this. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not working here by chance. It’s deliberate. It’s all part of a grand plan of mine to live life to the fullest, even while I’m working.

Sure we could have found cheaper office space and made more profits. But for me, profit is only part of what makes for a fullfilling life. In my mind, money only gives you more opportunities, not more happiness.

Heck…. I had better stop before someone knocks me off my soap box. :)

The truth be known, I’m only starting to get some of this stuff right. I’ve got a long way to go to get my life in full balance.

I hope this has encouraged you at least a little to strive to live life to the fullest, even if you’re working a lot.

If you want further encouragement and inspiration, I highly recommend you subscribe to Yanik Silver’s Maverick Business Insider. Yanik is one of my inspirations for trying to live like this.

His ethos is:

- Make massive money
- Have more fun
- Give more back

In issue one of the Maverick Business Insider, there is an inspiring interview with a guy called Mike Geary. This guy’s on track to achieve $3 to $4 million in sales this year from just ONE ebook he sells through ClickBank. He works 4 hours a day and does outdoor adventure sports the rest of time.

Issue two should also be good as there is an interview with an affiliate who’s doing $100,000 a month with PPC, by DIRECT linking to vendors. As you’d know, many people say this isn’t possible. Yanik says you’ll be surprised how much detail this affiliate reveals.

You can get the first edition free. You just pay shipping and handling.

See it here…

(That’s an affiliate link, but I don’t care if you don’t use it. This is stuff is so foundational that I would hate you to miss out simply because you thought I was just pushing it just for the commission. I’m trying to live this stuff!)

I’m glad I don’t have all that sand outside my office, can you imagine having to clean it up every day when the wind blows it all over the door step, and all that wet sand being walked through the office all day would make it hard to find people to clean the place. :) .
However, good luck to you and I hope you do well.

    <a href=”Giving Back” tartget_=”blank”
I have learned from some of the Legendary Marketers how they all started off with nothing & built themselves up through trial and error.

If these genuine down to earth people can find their own path then its up to the rest of us to do the same. They offer us their tips to help get us started, that’s something they never had, so we do stand a chance to make something of ourselves. For you, success is only limited by your determination and the work you put in. Where you are now is exactly where you’ve endeavored to be, Good Luck Jay!
I realize Yanik’s release is governed by other factors and there is a lot riding on it, but I am restricted right now in subscribing further owing to past deeds that exempt me from buying. I give everything to charity first, and that always leaves me holding onto the short…rather than the long tail?

  13. Peter says:

Why is it that internet marketers feel the need to show us where they work, once they have made a bit of cash. I’ve seen this soooooo many times before. I don’t understand the motivation. Do they think that people actually care where they work, or what view they have?

Personally, I couldn’t care less. I have a beautiful mountain and lake view in front of my office, but do I feel the need to show you that? No? Do I think it will impress you or others? No. Do I think they or you could give a monkeys what view I have from my office? No, no, no.

So why the heck should I care what view they have or where their office is located…..unless of course..(tut, tut)…they are trying to BOAST or make people jealous, which is the usual motivation.

Of course those peope who do it will deny this motivation, but they are human just like the rest of us and secretly want everyone to know how well they think they are doing….even though it’s just a view!

Now if the view were from Monte Carlo, Lake Geneve, or Aspen I might actually be impressed….but Burleigh Heads….come on….where is that any way?

  15. Thanks for the kind words guys. It’s nice to be able to share my excitement. :)

Oh….Peter… it sounds like you’ve got a few of your own issues you need to work through. If you don’t want to read about it, don’t click on the link. I’d be quite happy if you didn’t bring your bitterness here.

    [Reply]

  16. Peter says:

    Jay

No bitterness here. Just hate bragging. I’ve seen it so many times amongst the internet marketing community. How many times have you seen an internet marketing sales letter with various pictures of beaches, lakes, mountains etc etc. Somewhere in the copy you’ll find the words ” I don’t mean to brag”……but you know of course they do! Once some people have achieved some success, they like to show it off. It’s human nature.

I am sure everyone is really impressed by your new office location!

Very nice Jay! And, unlike some people, I don’t see this as bragging but more an inspiration to those of us who don’t have beautiful mountains and lakes surrounding us.
